Privacy policy
Immerly is designed to handle only the information needed to provide translation and related features.
Translation on your device
Text processed by your browser's built-in translation or by downloaded translation data is not sent to Immerly's servers.
Account and Google sign-in
If you use Google sign-in, we process the name, email address, and profile image Google provides to create and sign in to your account. We do not access Gmail, Google Drive, or other Google services. We do not use this information for advertising or translation-model training.
Features processed on our servers
Sentences that cannot be processed on your device are handled by Immerly's servers while the translation request is running. When you create subtitles from speech, we process only the audio segment needed for those subtitles. We do not store original text, translations, or source audio on our servers. Password fields and editable areas are excluded from translation.
Results stored on this device
Free translation results are kept on this device for 30 days, Pro translation results for 180 days, and generated subtitles for 30 days. Original text and source audio are not stored. You can delete saved translations and subtitles from the extension settings at any time.
Product improvement data
We may use feature counts, success status, limited error types, processing time, approximate text length, active time spent with translated content visible, whether saved translation was used, the Immerly version, and the feature used to operate and improve the service. We do not collect original or translated text, page URLs or titles, browsing history, webpage content, or text entered into fields. You can turn this data off in the extension settings.
We use separate identifiers for an installation and an account that do not reveal the original information. Translation usage and billing records required to provide the service are stored separately for the period needed for accounting and dispute handling.
Immerly website analytics
On immerly.app, Cloudflare Web Analytics measures visits, referring sites, and page performance. It does not create cookies or identifiers to distinguish individual visitors. We do not collect URL query information, form input, or translation content through website analytics.
Links to the Chrome Web Store include only a predefined referral source and button placement. Google may measure listing views and installs in the Chrome Web Store. We do not send your email, name, account ID, or anything you translated with Immerly. Website analytics and extension product-improvement data are not linked.
How we do not use your information
We use information only to provide the translation, subtitle, account, billing, security, and legal functions you request. We do not use it for advertising, credit decisions, or data sales, and we do not allow people to read your content. This complies with the Limited Use requirements of the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from the plan and usage page. After we confirm that billing has stopped, we delete the account, sign-in information, usage, remaining subtitle time, and the product-improvement identifier connected to the account. Payment processors such as Creem may retain billing, tax, refund, and dispute records for the period required by law.
